Match nul entre la France et la Pologne, les Bleus terminent 2ème du groupe D

Lors de la troisième et dernière journée du groupe D à Dortmund, la France n’a obtenu qu’un match nul (1-1) face à la Pologne. Les buts ont été inscrits sur penalty par Kylian Mbappé et Robert Lewandowski.

Sans surprise, la France assied sa domination dès les premières instants du match, à l’image de cette accélération de Dembélé sur le côté droit qui adresse un centre fort vers le deuxième poteau; le ballon passe devant tout le monde et arrive dans les pieds de Théo Hernandez, qui tente de tromper le portier adverse d’une frappe en force, lais Skorupski se couche bien et repousse le danger (12e).

Quelques minutes plus tard, après un ballon récupéré très haut, Kanté percute en plein axe et sert l’ailier parisien dans une position et un timing idéaux, sur la droite de la surface adverse. Au retour des vestiaires, les bleus ont finalement débloqué la situation grâce à Dembélé, fauché dans la surface par Kiwior. Kylian, sans trembler, prend Skorupski à contre-pied et ouvre le score pour les Bleus (1-0, 56e), marquant ainsi son premier but à l’Euro.

Quelque minutes plus tard les coéquipiers de Mbappé commet l’irréparable, après une faute d’une stupidité sans limite d’Upamecano dans la surface, l’arbitre n’a eu d’autres choix que d’accorder un penalty aux polonais suite à un check de la VAR. La joie des français après le premier arrêt de Maignan fut de courte durée, car celui-ci n’était pas sur sa ligne au moment où Lewandowski frappait.
À la seconde tentative, l’attaquant barcelonais met le ballon au fond des filets. Malgré quelques occasions des deux côtés, le score est resté inchangé (1-1) jusqu’au coup siflet final.

Incapables de marquer un but dans le jeu en 3 match, les Bleus n’ont pas pu faire mieux qu’un triste match nul (1-1) face à une Pologne pourtant loin d’être monstrueuse. Deuxième de leur groupe, après la victoire de l’Autriche sur les Pays-Bas, les hommes de Didier Deschamps basculent dans la partie de tableau qu’il fallait éviter, avec le Portugal, l’Allemagne et l’Espagne et potentiellement la Belgique.
