L’évêque émérite des cayes est décédé

L’évêque émérite des cayes, son Excellence Jean Alix Verrier, a rendu l’âme ce vendredi 11 octobre 2024 à l’ hôpital Canapé-Vert, selon les informations parvenues à notre rédaction par un confrère prêtre.

L’église Catholique pleure le départ d’un prélat combattant, qui a consacré toute sa vie à Dieu depuis son ordination sacerdotale le 13 juillet 1958.

À rappeler que le défunt évêque émérite a reçu l’ordination épiscopale le 9 mars 1986 par le Monseigneur Paolo Romeo et est décédé à l’âge de 93 ans.
