La traditionnelle neuvaine de l’Immaculée Conception, initialement prévue au Parc St Thérèse de Pétion-Ville cette année, ne se tiendra pas en raison de l’insécurité grandissante. La nouvelle a été confirmée par un proche de la paroisse, joint au téléphone par notre rédaction.
Dans une lettre datée de ce mercredi 27 novembre 2024, la mairie de Pétion-Ville a officiellement demandé au curé de ladite paroisse, le Révérend Père Frantzy Petit-Homme, de suspendre toutes les activités prévues au Parc St Thérèse. La correspondance indique que cette décision, bien que difficile, a été prise dans l’unique but de protéger la vie des participants face aux menaces actuelles.
Cette année, le thème retenu pour la neuvaine est « Ou pa ka detwi rèv mwen, mwen konn kiyès mwen ye ». La chanson thème, dont le vidéoclip sera disponible ce mercredi soir sur leur chaîne YouTube. Quant au programme révisé, les organisateurs ont prévu le Triduum du 4 au 6 décembre à la paroisse Notre-Dame du Perpétuel Secours, située à Delmas 75. La grande célébration de la fête de l’Immaculée Conception aura lieu le samedi 7 décembre dans la même paroisse de Fragneau-Ville, selon les informations parvenues à notre rédaction.
