“L’Âge du Tigre” : Michel Soukar dénonce un système politique oppressif et appelle à la révolution

À l’occasion de la parution de son dernier ouvrage L’Âge du tigre : journal d’un révolutionnaire, l’historien et écrivain Michel Soukar a animé une séance de vente-signature les 27 et 28 juin 2025. Dans ce livre au ton incisif, il dresse un réquisitoire sans concession contre le système politique haïtien, qu’il qualifie de prédateur.

L’historien et écrivain engagé Michel Soukar a été en séance de vente-signature les 27 et 28 juin 2025 pour son nouveau livre-choc intitulé “L’Âge du tigre : journal d’un révolutionnaire.” Cet ouvrage, à forte portée politique, propose une lecture critique du système haïtien, qu’il décrit comme un “tigre” symbolisant un régime féroce, oppressif et hostile au progrès.

Interrogé sur la portée de ce titre évocateur, le professeur Soukar explique que le “tigre” représente la nature prédatrice du système politique haïtien, responsable selon lui de l’impasse dans laquelle le pays est plongé depuis des décennies.

À travers ce journal d’un révolutionnaire, l’auteur plaide pour une transformation radicale des structures étatiques. Il soutient qu’aucun développement durable qu’il soit économique, social ou institutionnel ne sera possible sans une refonte en profondeur du système actuel.

Très préoccupé par l’aggravation de la crise sociopolitique, Michel Soukar appelle les autorités à assumer pleinement leurs responsabilités et à prendre des mesures concrètes pour soulager les souffrances de la population, de plus en plus accablée par l’insécurité, la pauvreté et le désespoir.
