Le vendredi 29 août 2025, le restaurant Aïoli à Pétion-Ville a accueilli le lancement officiel de Smart Digital, une plateforme ambitieuse dédiée à la stratégie digitale et à l’innovation sociale en Haïti.
Malgré la conjoncture, particulièrement difficile, cet événement a rassemblé un large public, notamment de nombreux jeunes, preuve de l’intérêt croissant pour les solutions numériques comme levier d’espoir et de transformation.
Face aux défis liés à l’accès à l’information, à l’éducation, aux opportunités économiques et aux infrastructures, Smart Digital entend structurer un véritable écosystème numérique local. C’est pourquoi sa mission s’articule autour de quatre axes clés : l’accompagnement stratégique personnalisé, les formations et événements digitaux, la création de contenus et d’outils numériques, ainsi que l’organisation de forums et d’espaces de partage de connaissances. “Notre objectif est simple mais ambitieux : faire du digital un levier de transformation positive pour Haïti.” a fait savoir l’équipe Smart Digital.
Dans cette perspective, trois experts de renom ont partagé leur vision de l’avenir numérique du pays à travers des interventions particulièrement percutantes. D’abord, Etzer Émile a présenté les pistes pour structurer un écosystème économique local productif et durable.
Ensuite, Youncey S. Delsoin a souligné l’importance d’outiller les citoyens afin qu’ils deviennent co-créateurs de la transformation numérique. Enfin, John Boiguéné a abordé la question cruciale de la connectivité, en insistant sur la nécessité d’adapter les infrastructures numériques aux réalités locales.
Ces différentes prises de parole ont permis d’initier un dialogue constructif sur les enjeux technologiques du pays, tout en sensibilisant l’auditoire à l’urgence d’un engagement collectif.
Par ailleurs, la réussite de ce lancement repose sur la participation active de plusieurs acteurs clés. Parmi eux, Olivier Altidor, chargé de la présentation de la structure ; M. Bouli, qui a assuré avec dynamisme la modération et l’animation ; ainsi que Falinechy Exumé, finaliste du Podium Quartier, qui a su captiver le public à travers deux prestations musicales inspirantes. L’équipe de Smart Digital a également pu compter sur l’appui précieux de ses partenaires, collaborateurs et soutiens techniques.
En fin de programme, un moment de reconnaissance a permis de remettre des certificats de remerciement à plusieurs membres de l’équipe ainsi qu’aux intervenants, en témoignage de leur contribution au succès de cet événement.
Dans le prolongement de ces échanges, les conférenciers ont lancé un appel aux jeunes : réorienter leur consommation de contenus numériques vers des ressources utiles, éducatives et inspirantes. Ils ont encouragé la jeunesse haïtienne à investir le digital non comme un simple espace de distraction, mais comme un véritable outil d’émancipation et de construction collective, afin de forger une image différente et valorisante d’Haïti.
Pour clôturer l’événement, Simon Desroches, fondateur et directeur de Smart Digital, a exprimé, au nom de toute l’équipe, sa profonde gratitude envers toutes les personnes et institutions ayant contribué à la réussite de cette initiative. “Ce lancement n’est qu’un début. Ensemble, nous bâtirons un environnement numérique inclusif, durable et porteur d’opportunités pour Haïti.” a-t-il déclaré.
Ainsi, ce lancement audacieux montre la voie. Il est plus que jamais nécessaire d’encourager et de multiplier ce type d’initiatives, capables d’impulser une transformation durable au cœur même des réalités haïtiennes.
