Alors qu’Haïti traverse l’une des périodes les plus tourmentées de son histoire récente, le Royaume du Vaudou convie la nation à une veillée nationale, «Guédé pour la paix». Une démarche à la fois mystique et patriotique, plaçant la sagesse des ancêtres au cœur de la quête de réconciliation et de stabilité.
À l’occasion de la fête des Guédés, célébrée traditionnellement les 1er et 2 novembre, le Royaume du Vaudou d’Haïti annonce l’organisation d’une veillée nationale baptisée «Guédé pour la paix», qui se tiendra simultanément dans les dix (10) départements géographiques du pays.
L’initiative vise à invoquer les esprits des ancêtres afin qu’ils intercèdent pour le retour de la paix, de la stabilité et de la cohésion sociale, dans un contexte où l’insécurité, la violence armée et les profondes divisions font rage au sein de la société haïtienne.
Selon le Roi du Vaudou haïtien, Augustin St Clou, cette mobilisation spirituelle nationale constitue un appel à l’unité, au dialogue et à la solidarité entre tous les secteurs de la vie nationale, au-delà des croyances et des appartenances politiques.
“Dans ces moments d’épreuves, nous faisons appel à la sagesse des ancêtres pour ramener la paix sur la terre de Dessalines. Cette veillée est une offrande collective pour guérir la nation”, a déclaré le souverain vaudou.
La fête des Guédés, l’une des célébrations les plus importantes du panthéon vaudou, symbolise le lien entre les vivants et les morts. Cette année, elle revêt une dimension à la fois civique et spirituelle, alors qu’Haïti traverse une crise multidimensionnelle.
