Fierté nationale : L’État haïtien parie sur nos U-17 pour briller au Qatar

Le gouvernement haïtien s’est fait fortement remarqué en remettant un chèque de 100 millions de gourdes à la sélection nationale masculine U-17, le lundi 25 août 2025. Cette enveloppe est destinée à soutenir nos jeunes grenadiers qui représenteront le pays lors de la Coupe du Monde de la FIFA, prévue cette année au Qatar.

La cérémonie, tenue à la Primature, s’est déroulée en présence du Premier ministre Alix Didier Fils-Aimé, de la ministre de la Jeunesse, des Sports et de l’Action Civique, Niola Lynn Sarah Octavius, et du ministre de l’Économie et des Finances, Alfred Fils Métellus.Plusieurs hauts responsables de l’État ainsi que des représentants de la Fédération Haïtienne de Football (FHF) ont également pris part à l’événement.

Dans son discours, la ministre Octavius a rappelé l’importance de cette qualification pour le pays : « En 2007, en 2019 et aujourd’hui encore en 2025, nos U-17 ont démontré discipline et vaillance, inscrivant Haïti parmi l’élite mondiale du football. Ce nouvel exploit est une source de fierté pour toute la Nation », a-t-elle déclaré, tout en invitant les joueurs à redoubler d’efforts pour faire flotter le drapeau haïtien avec dignité.

De son côté, Mme Gally Amazan, membre du Comité de Normalisation de la FHF, a salué ce soutien gouvernemental qu’elle a qualifié d’historique, rappelant qu’il s’inscrit dans le cadre du partenariat triennal récemment conclu entre l’État et la Fédération.

Prenant la parole, le Premier ministre a adressé un vibrant message d’encouragement aux jeunes Grenadiers : « Vous porterez au Qatar le rêve d’un peuple qui croit en vous.Le drapeau que vous arborerez est l’âme d’Haïti. Chaque pas sur le terrain sera un pas pour la dignité, l’unité et la grandeur de notre Nation. »

Ce soutien financier, selon le Chef du gouvernement, traduit l’engagement ferme de l’État à accompagner la jeunesse et à investir dans le sport, considéré comme un levier d’unité et de rayonnement pour le pays.

Avec cette initiative, le gouvernement espère non seulement faciliter la préparation optimale des Grenadiers U-17, mais aussi inspirer toute une génération de jeunes à croire en leurs rêves et à porter haut les couleurs nationales.
