Jour jeudi : Un rituel de nettoyage à Pétion-Ville

Chaque jeudi, la mairie de Pétion-Ville transforme le centre-ville en vaste chantier de propreté, une initiative qui gagne en popularité auprès des habitants.

Depuis moins d’un mois, la mairie de Pétion-Ville mène chaque jeudi une vaste opération de nettoyage dans les rues principales du centre-ville avec l’objectif de dégager les trottoirs et axes routiers transformés au fil du temps en marchés publics improvisés.

Pour assurer le succès de cette initiative, les autorités municipales ont ordonné la fermeture des grands magasins situés dans les zones concernées et demandé aux marchands ambulants de ne pas occuper l’espace public. Si la mesure est globalement respectée, quelques commerçants ont ouvert leurs portes une partie de la journée et que certains vendeurs ambulants ont continué à s’installer sur les trottoirs.

En parallèle, le ministère des Travaux publics, Transports et Communications (TPTC) a profité de l’opération pour entreprendre des réparations sur plusieurs rues endommagées.

Cette démarche est saluée par de nombreux habitants de la commune, qui souhaitent voir ces actions de nettoyage renforcées et étendues à d’autres quartiers de Pétion-Ville.
