Mirebalais : l’Hôpital Universitaire ferme ses portes face à l’insécurité

La Direction Exécutive de l’organisation Zanmi Lasante a annoncé la fermeture, jusqu’à nouvel ordre, de l’Hôpital Universitaire de Mirebalais. Cette décision fait suite à la détérioration inquiétante de la situation sécuritaire à Mirebalais, qui a déjà conduit à la suspension des activités hospitalières.

Dans un communiqué adressé à ses collaborateurs, Zanmi Lasante partenaire de l’ONG internationale Partners In Health précise que la sécurité du personnel et des patients constitue sa priorité absolue. L’organisation s’engage à informer régulièrement ses équipes de toute évolution.

La Direction Exécutive a exprimé sa profonde gratitude envers ses employés pour leur résilience et leur engagement dans ce contexte particulièrement difficile.

Aucune date de réouverture n’a été communiquée. L’organisation attend une amélioration significative des conditions sécuritaires avant d’envisager une reprise des services.

De nombreuses institutions nationales et internationales ont tiré la sonnette d’alarme face à l’aggravation de la crise sécuritaire. Pourtant, aucune action décisive n’a encore été engagée par les autorités pour enrayer les violences perpétrées par des groupes armés qui sèment le chaos dans la région métropolitaine de Port-au-Prince ainsi que dans plusieurs villes de province.
