Selon la KNVA, cette mise en garde intervient après des actes qu’elle qualifie d’usurpation de son identité institutionnelle. L’organisation accuse certains individus d’utiliser illégalement son nom, son statut et son image afin d’obtenir des avantages personnels. Elle précise que le dossier est désormais entre les mains de la justice et avertit que toute personne se présentant comme représentante de la KNVA sans mandat officiel s’expose à des poursuites et devra répondre de ses actes devant les juridictions compétentes.
Tout en réaffirmant sa volonté de poursuivre son engagement en faveur de la promotion, de la préservation et de la défense du Vodou haïtien, la KNVA se dit déterminée à protéger son intégrité et sa crédibilité. Elle lance un appel solennel à tous ses partenaires : ne débloquez aucun financement, n’accordez aucune subvention et ne reconnaissez aucune activité menée au nom de la Confédération sans confirmation officielle de ses instances dirigeantes.
